Which German level do I need for a family visa?
A1 (Start Deutsch 1) is enough for a spouse or family-reunification visa. You must pass all four skills, and most embassies expect the certificate to be less than a year old on the date you apply.
Which German exam do nurses need for Germany?
Nursing recognition (Anerkennung) requires B2 in every German state, and some hospitals ask for C1. Goethe B2 is universally accepted; telc Deutsch B2·C1 Medizin is a healthcare-specific alternative many Pflege employers value.
Goethe or telc — which should I take?
Both are officially recognised for German visas, residence and citizenship. Goethe has wider name recognition abroad; telc often has more frequent dates and lower fees in India. Check which one your specific employer, university or authority names — if they name neither, pick by date and budget.
How long does it take to reach B1 from zero?
Plan roughly 350–650 guided hours. Studying 10–12 hours a week, most learners reach B1 in 8–12 months. The single biggest accelerator is testing yourself at full exam length early enough to fix weak skills before booking the real exam.
