듣기 (Listening)
60 min · 50 questions
News reports, lectures, interviews, talk-show segments, and academic discussions. Tests inference, speaker attitude, and detailed comprehension. Audio plays once only at higher questions.
쓰기 (Writing)
50 min · 4 tasks
Two short-answer sentence completions (Q51–52), one mid-length structured writing (Q53, ~200–300 자), one long argumentative essay (Q54, ~600–700 자) on an abstract topic.
읽기 (Reading)
70 min · 50 questions
Newspaper articles, editorials, expository essays, literature excerpts, and graphs/charts. Tests main idea, vocabulary in context, and author's tone.

What TOPIK level do I need for GKS (Global Korea Scholarship)?
GKS undergraduate (GKS-U) and graduate (GKS-G) awards usually require TOPIK Level 3 as the minimum eligibility — but competitive applicants typically present Level 4 or 5 to strengthen their NIIED interview round. Some programmes accept Level 3 with the condition that you take a 1-year Korean preparation course on arrival.
What TOPIK level do Samsung, LG, and Naver expect?
Most Korean conglomerates (재벌) want TOPIK 4 minimum for foreign hires in non-technical roles, and TOPIK 5 for client-facing or managerial positions. R&D and pure-engineering tracks are often more flexible (Level 3 is common), but career growth past 3 years usually depends on hitting Level 4–5.
How long does it take to prepare for TOPIK II from Level 2?
Most learners need 6–12 months of focused preparation to move from TOPIK I Level 2 to TOPIK II Level 3, and another 6–12 months for Level 4. The Writing module (쓰기) is the single biggest blocker for self-study candidates — our AI feedback closes that gap faster than reading model answers alone.
How is TOPIK II Writing (쓰기) graded?

Can I take TOPIK II without first sitting TOPIK I?
Yes. TOPIK I and TOPIK II are independent exams. If your target requires Level 3+, you can register directly for TOPIK II. However, sitting TOPIK I once as a baseline can be useful for building exam-day confidence — it's a shorter, lower-stakes exam.
What is the TOPIK II exam fee in India?

Is there an oral / speaking section in TOPIK II?
Not yet. The current paper-based TOPIK II tests Listening, Reading, and Writing only. NIIED has announced a separate IBT TOPIK speaking module (TOPIK Speaking — 말하기 평가) that is being rolled out gradually — for now, the regular TOPIK II remains a 3-skill paper exam in India.
