The test is administered through ETS-authorized test centres and partner institutions. In India, you’ll find centres in:

How to book a slot (step-by-step)
- 1Create an ETS account – Use the same name as on your government ID.
- 2Select TOEIC Listening & Reading – Choose the test date and format.
- 3Pick a centre – Filter by city and view available dates.
- 4Pay the fee – Fees vary by country and centre. For India, verify the exact amount on the official portal — TOEIC Listening & Reading fees were last revised in early 2026.
- 5Confirm and print – You’ll receive a confirmation email with centre address and reporting time.
Slot booking tips
- Book 4–6 weeks in advance – Popular centres (Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi) fill up within days of release.
- Check on Tuesday mornings – ETS often releases new slots on Tuesdays (Indian time).
- Use the “notify me” feature – Some centres allow you to sign up for email alerts when a slot opens.
- Consider a nearby city – If your first-choice centre is full, check the next closest city. For example, Pune candidates often find slots in Mumbai.
- Opt for computer-delivered – Computer-based tests usually have more availability than paper-based ones.
What to do if your preferred centre is full
1. Check for cancellations
Candidates cancel or reschedule up to 4 days before the test. Log in to your ETS account and refresh the centre list daily. Slots often open up 48–72 hours before the test date.
2. Expand your search radius
Look at centres within 100–150 km. For example, if Chennai is full, check Bangalore or Coimbatore. The extra travel is worth avoiding a 2-month wait.
3. Choose a different test date
ETS offers TOEIC Listening & Reading on multiple dates each month. If your preferred date is full, the next date might have availability at the same centre.
4. Contact the test centre directly
Some centres maintain a waitlist. Call or email the centre coordinator — they may accommodate you if a slot opens.
5. Consider a different format
If paper-based is full, check computer-delivered. Computer-based tests are offered more frequently and often have spare seats.

Documents you need on test day
- Original, valid passport (or government-issued ID as accepted by ETS)
- Confirmation email (printed or digital)
- No electronic devices – phones, smartwatches, and earphones are not allowed inside the test room.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before the reporting time. Latecomers may not be admitted.
