How Much Does SIELE Cost
SIELE fees in India generally fall between ₹8,000 and ₹12,000, a wider range than DELE because SIELE is priced in euros or US dollars by Instituto Cervantes and converted at the prevailing exchange rate, plus each accredited centre can add its own local administrative charge. The full SIELE Global exam, covering all four skills, sits at the upper end of that range, while partial combinations cost less.
This pricing structure means your exact fee depends on the day you register, the centre you choose, and which SIELE modality you select, so always confirm the current amount on the official registration page before paying.
SIELE Modalities and Approximate Pricing
| Modality | Sections included | Relative cost |
|---|---|---|
| SIELE Global | Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking | Highest — full range ~₹12,000 |
| SIELE S1 | Reading + Listening | Lower — partial fee |
| SIELE S2 | Reading + Writing | Lower — partial fee |
| SIELE S3 | Listening + Speaking | Lower — partial fee |
| Individual skill test | One section only | Lowest — ~₹8,000 range |
Most Indian candidates take SIELE Global because universities and employers typically ask for a full proficiency profile rather than a single skill certificate, but if you only need proof of, say, reading and listening ability for a specific requirement, a partial modality can save a meaningful amount.

Payment Process
You register and pay through the official SIELE examination platform, where you create an account, select your test centre and date, choose your modality, and pay online by card. Because pricing is set centrally in euros or dollars, the amount charged to an Indian card will reflect the live conversion rate on the day of payment, which can cause small day-to-day fluctuations in the rupee figure.
Unlike DELE, some SIELE test centres also offer remote proctored sittings, which can slightly change the fee structure since no physical centre overhead is involved.

- Compare Global versus partial modality pricing against what your target institution requires
- Pay by international card — most Indian test centres do not accept cash for SIELE

SIELE vs DELE Cost Comparison
At the B1/B2 range, SIELE Global’s fee is broadly comparable to or slightly below DELE B1/B2 pricing, but the two products are not interchangeable: DELE certifies a fixed level permanently, while SIELE gives an adaptive score valid for five years. If your requirement explicitly names DELE, price comparison is moot — you need the DELE certificate specifically.
For candidates without a fixed institutional requirement, SIELE’s flexibility to test only the sections you need can make it the more cost-effective choice, particularly if you only require certification in one or two skills.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does SIELE fee vary day to day?
SIELE is priced in euros or US dollars centrally by Instituto Cervantes, so the rupee amount you pay fluctuates with the exchange rate on your payment date. Centre-level administrative charges can also differ slightly, adding further variation.
Is it cheaper to take individual SIELE sections?
Yes, testing a single skill or a two-section combination costs less than the full SIELE Global exam. This only makes sense if your target institution specifically accepts partial certification rather than requiring all four skills.
Can I pay SIELE fees in Indian rupees?
Payment is processed through the official platform in euros or dollars, and your card issuer handles the currency conversion to rupees automatically. You cannot pay directly in INR through the SIELE portal itself.
Does SIELE fee include the digital certificate?
Yes, your registration fee covers testing and the official digital certificate with verification code, issued roughly three weeks after your test date. No additional charge applies for receiving your results.
