The most effective way to prepare for the TORFL exam is deliberate practice with full-length mocks, reviewed subtest by subtest. Here is a plan that works at every level.
1. Take a diagnostic mock
Start with one complete TORFL mock at your target level. The per-subtest score shows where you stand and where to focus.
2. Target your weakest subtest
Because you need to pass every subtest, put your effort where the diagnostic revealed gaps — often Writing or Lexis & Grammar — then re-test.
3. Practise timed
TORFL is timed and pacing matters. Our mocks run to the official timing so exam day feels familiar.
4. Use AI feedback
Read the feedback on each writing and speaking task and rewrite. Acting on feedback is what moves your score.
5. Repeat with fresh papers
Use a different mock each time so you build ability, not memory. Start with our TORFL mock tests and pick a plan.
