The Tisus exam format is set by Stockholm University and tests advanced Swedish in three parts. Knowing the structure is the first step to a confident result.
The three parts
- Läsförståelse – reading comprehension of demanding texts.
- Skriftlig färdighet – academic writing.
- Muntlig färdighet – speaking, often discussion-based.
Level and scoring
Tisus is an advanced test (around C1) used for university admission. Each of the three parts must be passed on its own — a strong reading result does not compensate for a weak writing part — so balanced preparation matters.
