The Swedex exam format tests Swedish at A2, B1 and B2 across four skills plus a vocabulary and grammar component. Knowing the structure helps you prepare efficiently.
The parts of a Swedex exam
- Läsförståelse – reading.
- Hörförståelse – listening.
- Skriftlig färdighet – writing.
- Muntlig färdighet – speaking.
Vocabulary and grammar are also assessed, either on their own or across the paper depending on level.
How Swedex is scored
Skills are assessed and you need a sufficient overall result, so no single weak section should pull you under. Practising each part in the real format under timed conditions is the surest route.
